A little bit about me . . . .
Amelia Stone is a Devonshire-based jewellery designer whose stunning, functional jewellery has swiftly garnered her widespread popularity, as well as a name for herself as one to watch. Born and raised in East Devon, she graduated with a BA in Fine Art from University of Wales Institute in Cardiff before deciding to focus her attention on working with metal. Deciding to take on a Jewellery Manufacture course at the reputable Holts Academy in London's jewellery quarter Hatton Garden, she has never looked back.
It was from a relatively young age that she began her love affair with silver and all things shiny - collecting an impressive and potentially unhealthy amount of jewellery. At university she began exploring the idea of living art through oxidising copper to create works that continually change, an idea that manifests itself in her jewellery.
Stone’s jewellery is at once delicate and striking; it is instantly recognisable through its iconic hoops and loops that make it both sturdy and intricate at the same time. Each piece is painstakingly handmade, evident by hundreds of fantastic and unique intricacies in the silver.
